Root7 Returns for Summer 2010
Hello there!
We are excited to announce that Root 7 is back this summer with new members, new music and new energy!
The group performed its first private function to rave reviews this week and we’re looking forward to singing at the Winooski Riverwalk Festival next Friday, June 25th at 6PM. Come find us there!
We will also be a the Shelburne Farmers Market on Saturday, July 10th. So mark your calendars and come out for local food and local music.

Root7 Looking for New Members
Root7 is taking some time to write new music and look for new voices. Styles include popular (Marc Cohn, K.T. Tunstall), country (Leanne Womack, Little Big Town), and folk (Nickle Creek, Bosnian), as well as others.
Specifically, we are looking for one low male voice (bass or baritone), a tenor or alto, and a female voice of any range.

New Faces and A High-Octane Root7 Summer!
This summer Root7 will perform 2-3 shows a month at outdoor festivals and indoor venues throughout Chittenden County. Please check out the list on the left to see where we're playing next and join us there! And if you don't see your favorite venue listed, please ask the organizers to contact us at (802) 355-5253.
In other Root7 news, we are pleased to welcome the newest member of the Root7 family: Zachary Chad, born to alto Emily Mitchell and her husband Chad on Tuesday, May 13th. He's currently singing soprano as a solo artist at home in Williston.... Congratulations Emily and Chad!
Even singing groups have maternity leave.... so while Emily cares for her little one, we are thrilled to have local vocal superstar Vikki Day taking her place. Vikki has added her own special flavor to the Root7 sound and we hope you catch her performing with us starting in June!

The Next Big A Cappella Place: Underhill!
Hello Root7 Fans,
Aren't you glad spring is almost here? We sure are. All those sunshiny outdoor gigs coming up soon! We'll be singing in natural environs many places this summer including Shelburne Farmer's Market, the Richmond Farmer's Market, Maple Tree Place in Williston... all starting in May. So get out your summer clothes, keep an eye on our calendar and join us every time you can!
Meanwhile, a big thanks to our three event hosts in February - Nectars, King Street Youth Center, and Middlebury College - and a warm hello to Underhill as we head out there Saturday March 29th for a Root7 exclusive! We'll be performing our best collection of music ever and debuting some of the snazzy moves we've been working on recently. In fact there may just be a little Root7 dance contest, audience-judged, American Idol style..... so come on out, bring shoes to dance along, and enjoy some a cappella with us!
